Fireware cable question

None of those are going to work. You need a 6 pin-to-9 pin cable, like this, or an adapter with a firewire 400 cable (the second cable on the site you linked to).

The cable you pointed out is FW 800 and I think my Macbook is 400: is it going to work anyways? Are there better quality cables or that brand should suffice for Audio recording?

The other question: the FW on the Mac is the one with 9 pins?

Oh, oops. Yeah sorry- your machine has FW400. In that case the 6-to-6 pin cable will work fine.

As far as cable brand...I've never really worried about it. Maybe someone else will know more.
