Firewire 400 and 800 compatibility

Question - I am thinking of getting the new pro but lack of FW400 has bothered me. Is there an 800 to 400 adapter that will at least keep the performance equal to FW400?

yes, why not simply GOOGLE firewire 400 to 800 adapter?

Because you just did it for me? I dont know, why doesnt everyone just google every question they have here? Why should there even be a forum? This question has actually since been asked in other threads and I have found my answer there. And it was more informative than googling a part. Turns out the 400 spec is built into the 800 spec. Something I wouldn't have learned had I just googled this. I like asking questions here b/c normally I get the answer I need and then some. But your answer was good too 🙄
