FireWire and USB cable

I saw a FireWire USB cable for the itouch and it claims faster sync and charging times. Does anybody own this cable? Is it worth it? Thanks

The iPod touch 1st gen does not sync over FireWire and only charges.

The iPod touch 2nd gen does NOTHING over FireWire.

So your saying the first generation would not use the firewire just the usb even If I plug it into my mac? Then Why would they sell it? Is it a fake product? That wouldn't surprise me.

Certain older iPods (3G and 4G, I think) supported both transfer methods. Apple actually used to sell a combo cable for those iPods, and I have one at my desk at work.
