We are looking at getting a firewire enclosure for some spare ata drives we have. My main question is what chip set is the best, or which set I should stay away from. Right now we are looking at the Oxford 911. From what have read this is one of the better names. I'm looking for options right now, so both positive and negative feedback will be helpful.

We are running 10.2 and these drive will be mainly used for backup and transport of data. I would also be nice to use it for DV.

Oxford also has a new 922 chipset that supports Firewire 800 and USB 2. Supposed to be even better than the 911.
