Firmware 3.0.1 to 3.1.2 or 3.1.3?

I know apple has stop signing the older firmwares but I was wondering if there was any way to upgrade an old 3G running 3.0.1 to 3.1.2 or 3.1.3? If I try to use iTunes won't it tell me that it is not signed by apple anymore? I was just wondering if there was some way of upgrading it?

The 3G doesn't do Apple signing. You can always restore to older firmware with a 3G.

Ahh ok cool. It's my daughters phone and installous no longer works with firmware 3.0.1 so she wants me to upgrade it. She has not even used Intallous in months and now all of a sudden she wants to use it. I will give it a try tomorrow to late tonight!!
