Depends Greatly On The Weather
I have tried to install Boot Camp on my 15 MBP and it says I need to update the firmware and when I do download the firmware update it says it says the computer does not need the update. Whatr do I do?

Thanks.

Hmm...interesting. I found Boot Camp installed for me easily. Did it install easily on your other computers?

First, try the Windows on Mac sub-forum; you're more likely to run into someone who's solved the same problem.

Second, I'd make sure you have the correct firmware update as several people have successfully installed BC on the MBP.

Failing that, a PMU reset may be in order.

Ok firstly can a mod move this to the Windows on Mac sub forum.

Also I updated the firmware through software update.

I forgot to warn you - My MBP is no longer silent after the update. (CPU whine) I'm considering reverting back to the original to see what happens.

Had the same issue on my iMac. Deleting the updater from my Utilities folder and installing the latest update (1.01 I think?) did the trick. Frustrating I know. Bought the thing for the sole purpose of dual booting, and I thought it wouldn't for a while until I figured it out.
