Delete and re-download the installer should fix that, have you tried actually re-downloading or are you using the same installer you originally downloaded?I have had this problem for a month now, even apple was unable to help.I don't know what is going on, I have tried it in safe mode i have tried clean install and still the same issue.
yes i did do the previous firmware updates as well. What is the ID-number of your MacBook?
e.g. MacBook7,1 supports High Sierra but MacBook5,2 doesn't.
Did you do the previous firmware updates?
I tried that method as well it didn’t work. And I’m using a hard diskPerhaps a PRAM and SMC reset?
<Boot your MacBook while holding command + alt + p + r until it restarts.

Do you use a harddisk or SSD?
Honestly I did all that came back with no errors and still does the same thing over and overDid you verify if the harddisk is OK by booting in the recovery mode and checking the disk? If necessary, was it repaired?
To be honest, there isn't a big difference between Sierra and High Sierra.
Yea apple was on and off the phone with me for days and then they just stopped helpingIf even Apple can't help you, I suggest that you stay with Sierra. It's a good system anyway.
dCreate a bootable USB flashdrive installer, and try installing that way.
Get a 16gb flash drive and the free app "Boot Buddy".
It will copy the installer onto the flashdrive and make it bootable.
Then, boot from the flashdrive -- perhaps the installer has the ability to detect the firmware needed, and update as required.
Won't know unless you try it.
Done that before as wellI suggest you reformat the drive from the bootable USB flash drive's Disk Utility before attempting to install macOS.
