Considering install of firmware password on my rMBP. To those of you who have done so what is your recommendation, things I should consider, any negative experiences that you may have encountered. :)

My only recommendation is do not forget the password, ever. If you do, you'll never get back into it.

I believe Apple can get back into it.

Perhaps, but I wouldn't count or depend on that.

You have to schedule an appointment at your local Apple store to recover a firmware password.

Apple can. They have to talk to TSPS to generate an unlock code, but they can do it.

They will also need proof of ownership/ID etc for obvious reasons :)

Thanks gentlemen for your thoughts. There appear to be no downside to doing it except keeping track of the password. Many thanks. :)
