I'm starting to wonder if i should stop reading MacRumor and other sites like that, just to be more excited when apple announces the new device. it seems everything leaks out early.

Well yeah, by coming here you definitely spoil the excitement of the product announcement. I have considered skipping rumors as well, but I just can't bring myself to do so :p

it's funny how people can leak pictures of future parts

but these pics are always with a krappy quality

if one can really access to these parts for real, i don't see why picture quality could be so bad

even the cheapest smartphone can take better pics

The blurry effect makes them look more authentic. :p

why would there be an iphone 6 part out so early when it's not expected to be released before 2014? something's fishy here.

Definitely. By the time iPhone 6 launches that part will be obsolete.

Every year the same thing. Its sad, but in the back of my mind I feel like apples sends a few photos to get the hype started. Similar to the "oh I lost my iphone 2 times now at a local bar".

Someday they will "accidentally" send a few prototype iPhones to macrumors users. It's way cooler than finding a lost phone in a bar.

9to5mac believes one part is for the 5S and the other is for the "cheaper" iPhone to be released in emerging markets.

Neither of these parts are for the "iPhone 6." And I'm more inclined to believe 9to5mac, frankly.

Umm, I believe the iPhone 6 part is actually for the new cheaper iPhone since it's 2X as thick as the iPhone 5S part.

I guess you are not a chinese factory worker, w/ little money and security protocols that could make you lose your job.

Why would it be called the iPhone 6? If it came after the 5S, it would be the 8th generation iPhone :confused::confused:

I guess Tim Cook thinks that Apple can skate on the past successes of iPhone and iPad. As you can see, Apple has done nothing interesting since the passing of Steve Jobs. The market is changing and Apple is losing some of its luster among consumers. Apple desperately needs a "one last thing"...

Screensize leaks, please.

Please someone leak the screen size, so we can all sit back and relax. I seriously feel the 3.5 is small. I use Numbers, iPhoto, iMovie and not to mention games. For lot of apps the 3.5 is enough in fact more than needed, but for lot of thing 3.5 is becoming too small.

Personally, I think that it looks too similar to the iPhone 5. I was hoping the speaker enclosure would come in more colors, other than black. I blame Forstall. Steve would have never allowed this design change.

My thought is if they had access, why are the new parts in poor quality but the five is perfect.

And that looks more like the home button piece that feel out of my roommates iPhone when he dropped it and busted the front totally apart.

----------

Ah, it never ends.

Apple's always going to update I suppose.

The issue here is the implication of them allegedly having parts to two generations of phone. That would seemingly prove that there will be two phones released this year. And since they have the information now one of them must be coming out soon

----------

OR the iphone 6 part is for the iPad mini 2.

Possibility. The existence of which would imply it is coming out very soon. Validating the March rumors

----------

I guess Tim Cook thinks that Apple can skate on the past successes of iPhone and iPad. As you can see, Apple has done nothing interesting since the passing of Steve Jobs.

A lot of folks would say that making a bigger iPhone after all that talk about the 'sweet spot' size for one handed use and an iPad mini seemingly in defiance of Steve's disdain for smaller sizes was very interesting.

As for the whole they need to do something big, I disagree. That is the talk of analysts wanting to drive the stock price down. Given the public love etc Steve held taking a year or so to just hold steady and get comfortable in the situation is not uncalled for. And then, as the new components like Haswell come out, begin the typical slow Apple climb. When the time is right perhaps they will do something big but most folks around here will just poo poo it anyway because it won't be the big they think it should be. Like it will be a new Apple TV box not the 'big and amazing' of a new actual TV set

It's most likely the same 4 inch screen as the iPhone 5. If you want bigger for your apps and such that's what the iPad and iPad mini are for.

5S... so expect a faster processor and a slightly different camera? Last big thing to happen to a iPhone was the Retina display. Its the same old these days but hoping iOS7 is a BIG change. I use Android too, Google aint afraid to change things. Remember the days when Apple had those kind of balls? Each to their own anyways.:)

Wel I guess those rumours weren't crazy after all.

Oh wait, let's start with some conspiracy that happened with the leaks of the iPhone 5.

Hey everyone, Tim cook is leaking these parts to throw us off!

The thing is that the lead Google designer(I forget his name) said that the android look is about one-third done. So he and the team will probably keep changing it until it's complete. Then the UI might plateau like iOS. Because, why change it for the sake of change?

If there is any change in iOS 7, it'd probably be due to the new seat in the UI design, and pressures from competition

Probably because Google is still trying to figure out that right design that works. Apple figured it out right out if the gate in 2007. That's why they're just refining it now. No need to have a massive overhaul when what you already have works fine.
