Apparently notDidn’t say it was... Just wondering if the new chip will make it faster.
Exactly in what way is the current unit slow?
Apparently not
That guy is clickbait. He titles his videos the same way with every new Apple release.Apparently not
Yeah maybe, doesn’t mean he’s wrong though. That guy is clickbait. He titles his videos the same way with every new Apple release.
I have a 4K AppleTV and I really don't see much at all worthy of upgrading to the new model.Yeah maybe, doesn’t mean he’s wrong though.
You’ve only got to look at the specs to realise there really isn’t that much in this new one to warrant an upgrade if you’re already using an ATV4K.
IMO this revision is purely to entice those hangers on that have wanted an ATV4K but have just been waiting for a new model before they buy.
The A12 is about twice as fast as the A10X in pure CPU performance. In real life you're not gonna see any difference (because the current one already is fast enough for just about anything) unless you're playing very large blu-ray rips or x265 files.Any reason to think that the new units will be faster than current units?
But why? Do you really think, that the new Apple TV is less powerful? Yet, we do not know exactly how it'll perform.I am getting one to replace the 4th gen one in my bedroom, but the A10x version in my living room stays.

The “old“ Apple TV 4K is equipped with an A10X, not A10.The A12 is about twice as fast as the A10 in pure CPU performance.
