Not sure how it happened, but it's on the bottom left hand corner. I can feel it with my fingernail. Pretty deep. Weird because most of the time I wear long sleeves and the sleeve covers the watch. I knew it would scratch, but I didn't think it'd scratch that easily.

I suppose it was bound to happen, and there will be more. Body of the watch still looks flawless.

I'm sad. :(

Useless thread AND no pics? Come on man!

Goodness, can a woman not voice her disappointment?? Ok ok. I'll provide a picture.

Here. Does that help you in any way?

The Speck case looks nice, but alas, not available yet. Pretty sure that would have prevented the scratch (just based on where it's located).
I'm still puzzled as how it could happen. While at first I was confident it would hold up well (never a scratch on any of my phones), I now realize that it will not.

I bought the sport because I wanted the lightest model available, and I just prefer the aluminum look. However, next time around I may have to switch to sapphire.

My sport fell off of my nightstand onto our hardwood floors face first and has no scratches *kanye shrug*

A gash for me is when you can feel it. In fact, at first I thought it was a crack. There are other tiny scratches on the watch face, the types that appear on your phone too (you'll see them if you shine a strong light on it), but those you can not feel.

I suppose it's a surprise for me because I did not think something like that could happen to hardened glass if it didn't come in contact with anything hard and scratchy. Goodness, I was sitting at the desk all day. Wasn't there this morning, and now it is.
