There is no noticeable improvement in shatter resistance compared to previous models. I'd even venture to say that the 6 's dimensions make dropping it more risky than before. Personally in all my years of owning an iPhone since the first-gen I haven't shattered one... Nonetheless, the 6 + seems a bit too large to go without any protection.

Why does this worry anyone? Are you planning on playing basketball with your iPhone? Just don't drop it goofball. :rolleyes:
 
Doesn't bother me too much. As long as you are careful, shouldn't be a problem. They have AppleCare for a reason, as long as you don't drop it more then twice. ;)
 
I hear the Plus has a more brittle screen than the 6, due to increased surface area.

Any truth to it ?
