iPod touch First firmware?

When do you guys think the first firmware upgrades will be released for the touch? How about flash or java? I know Jobs isn't big on java, but why on earth wouldn't they include it? It's used in about a hundred million things on the web, INCLUDING MY FANTASY FOOTBALL STAT TRACKER!

I'd like the first firmware update to improve Safari's speed and stability. Then maybe the next one could include extra Safari plugins.

I've been pretty impressed with the speed (not laptop speed, but pretty quick for a hand held) but it would sure be nice to access video from places other than youtube..etc.
