No matter how long I keep my first gen 12.9 iPad Pro plugged in it stays at 92% charged. Does this mean that the battery is on its way out?

    Thanks.

My 2017 12.9 was doing the same thing a reboot seemed to fix it. I think over time the percentage just gets out of sync.

Try draining the iPad to 0% and charge it back to 100%. Helps to calibrate the battery

Batteries wear out too. I hate these non replaceable battery devices.

I’m pretty sure that calibration is done automatically and draining hasn’t been required for a while.

That’s false. I’ve faced similar issues in the past and fixed them by calibration. With iPad Pro 2nd gen.
