The above video says they are not sweatproof. A CNET video says they are. This video says four colors. The Apple website has two, Black and a white.

Good catch, I will try to snag a pair tomorrow if the weather cooperates. Then again everyone else in my locale will be in the same boat digging out.

The CNET video I watched said they were.
Cnet was one of the few, if not, the only tech site to get their hands on them when they were first announced. Maybe there was some miscommunication or beats intended them to be sweat resistant/proof to begin with but couldn't make it happen, which might be part of the delay.

The thing is, the PowerBeats should really not be advertised as sweatproof. I have seen many, many of these die and it's likely due to sweat and salts getting up in to the innards. Almost everyone I know who doesn't use theirs to work out has zero problems, everyone who does: dead within a matter of months. Anecdotal, but I've seen it happen a lot.

Concerned if the BeatsX are sweat resistance. Both videos made no mention one way or another.

I would err on the side of caution and not get these things drenched but I'm sure they have a bit of moisture resistance like the AirPods.

Being from Wisconsin on those long 16 to 20 mile runs in the dead of summer are scaring me off. 80 to 90 degrees and humid may fry these.

For that extreme the Powerbeats 3 are more appropriate I would think.

The first look for Beats X is not till I get them and judge for himself like always for my usage. :)
