OK thanks - Hopefully we can get some indoors landscape footage.
Happens when you pan with a phone camera, but you should be using a good video player like VLC.image quality was great but was the playback jittery for anyone else?
Yeah I was pretty impressed. I wish I had gotten it first so I could have posted tons more examples since the California sun right now is pretty great for shooting video.Awesome. For a cellphone, I think it's great.
A poor-man's steadicam will greatly help, as will tripods, since there isn't any anti-shake feature in the phone.
iMovie might cut down on it a little, but it's best to prevent it to begin with.
As for the exposure... he was in bright daylight filming into shadows... it is what it is... pretty damn good.
Thanks!
A Flip cam is useless at this point except as a backup if your phone gets confiscated.Pretty good video, safe to say this will stop me from buying a Flip.

I think the bigger news here is that a 30 sec video file is almost 40MB.
It's great quality, I should have gone with the 32gb, but I never filled up my 8gb so I just assumed 16gb would be way more than enough!
Not really news, that is almost exactly the same as a Flip HD. About 4GB for an hour of video.
Yeah and few people take an hour a video, even in an entire day. 3-4 hours of video by using the iPhone with the least capacity is more than enough for almost everybody. That's not so bad. Just keep a few GB free and manage your song/video files accordingly if you plan on taking lots of HD video.
Better do it fast because this will put a dent in the sales.Nice. Makes me want to sell the HD flip!
I think there will still be a very big market for the Flip... especially for outdoor enthusiasts who like to document moderate to extreme activities in varying conditions.
I'd rather not take my iPhone 4 kitesurfing... the replacement cost is a little on the high side for me, let alone there's a lack of quality sporting/outdoor accessories and enclosures for iPhones.
As for file size... this is why I've been encouraging anyone I know who is interested in the 4 to go with the 32gig version... digital video eats up bytes -- though I agree, a gig/hour for 720p is pretty reasonable.
Video looks OK, nothing spectacular. Doesn't look like that much quality jump from 3GS video to HD.
