Today I was able to play a little bit with the :apple: Watch Series 2 demo unit at the local Best Buy Store. Apple claims that the display is brighter than on the original watch, so this was the 1st thing I looked at, and I believe they are correct. The display is noticeably brighter, and in making my comparison I used the "Digital" display on each watch as it has the most amount of characters in the display. The black background appeared to be darker and the characters seemed to stand out more. In making this comparison I made sure that both the display watch and my original watch were set to max brightness so I was comparing oranges to oranges.

I also noted that the font that they are using is narrower than that on the original (Series 0?). It is like comparing the Helvetica font to the Helvetica Neue font. I feel that this appears to give a cleaner and sharper image. Also the complications were larger and easier to read.

I also checked the sensitivity of the display and feel that it is much more sensitive to your finger, in fact almost too sensitive, as I got several unwanted screens pop up simply by brushing the screen slightly while going from one screen to another. It is quite noticeably faster in bringing up other screens, apps and watchfaces.

It only whets my appetite for mine to get here.

I noticed a much brighter display and the speed improvement is obvious. Now, if Apple would just ship some to their stores.
