First iPhone 4 Camper spotted

I have one pre-ordered from Apples Website, and received a confirmation letter immediately following guaranteeing me an iPhone at 7AM. The e-mail states it will be on hold for me until closing, and then afterwords if I don't show up they sell it to whoever comes in for it. At the launch for the 3g which is my current phone, I do remember the Apple store here denying me a phone on launch day stating that the only phones they had available were reserved. I will try and show at 4AM, and hope that eventually a pre-order line forms. Otherwise I got my confirmation e-mail from Apple at precisely 9:28 A.M. so I should be good, even if it takes a while to get in and their servers crash due to overload.
P.S. to the lady who's pregnant maybe you could go with the babies father, and use the pregnant card to your advantage. Quick story of how it helped me grab a PS2 on launch day. I was taking care of my 80 year old grandmother at the time but ran into the dilemma of wanting a PS2. The rest of my family was cool with me bringing her along for the ride as long as I was keeping a close eye on her. Well after being turned down at so many places, we ended up at sears which only had 2 PS2's and about 50 people waiting. Well everyone saw my grandmother and immediately felt bad for her so they let her in front of the line. The problem is it was first come first serve to the register and a mad dash at that. Well I soon that out that she was with me and that I would be taking her place in line. Long story short, I got a PS2. Not saying it will always work out that way, but pretty cool for me none the less!

Now that is cool because it's marketing for Apple, and allows you to cool off during the day.
Happy camping. I have pre-ordered, but may camp out (for a few hours) just for the experience, and to buy one for my mom. I did it for the 2nd iPhone, and it was fun.

At least it doesn't sound like some 40 year old accountant trying to sound hip like "haters" does. Though technically, nobody's trolling in this thread. People just can't believe someone would do this in that Death Heat down in Dallas.
I believe earlier he said that he has a reservation made. I am sure either way he will be the first one at that store to get a new phone. He knows the managers very well and they are going to take care of him.

What he said. I gotta lot more more respect for the guy that does this than those that just trash talk it.
lol....at least he's pretty much guaranteed one unless something ridiculous happens like the shipment to that store gets delayed.
I must say when I first saw this my reaction was this guy is crazy its just a phone. But once he started posting I now really like and respect this guy. It's about doing what makes you happy in life, no matter what others may think or say. This is a great experience, he has news coverage, the love of all the employees at that apple store, and just look at how big this thread has gotten. This is one of the coolest threads on Macrumors ever with a member going up to this guy and him signing up and participating because of it. You're a cool dude Justin stay safe out there and keep doing what makes you happy!
