I love me some unboxing videos!

But Apple's design for this box is very odd. I'm confused as to why the black phone has a white image on the box. They could have made it the color of the phone. Or did just the basic outline of the phone, screen and home button in a reflective color matching the device inside.

Am I the only one shocked by the new power plug?

Seriously! First, they render all my 30 pin accessories useless when they launch the 5. Now, I have to replace every electrical outlet in my house to accomodate that plug. Wish I had known about this so I could have had the electrician scheduled for Friday.

I really like this box. Keeps the excitement until you see the actual phone inside.

It's possible that in the rush to pump out as many iPhones as possible, they've made the boxes more generic and re-usable.

Just a couple suggestions to the makers of the video - lose the "music" and we really don't care about the cardboard insert, no need to hold it up for the camera. :)

Worst Apple-packaging as of yet. And yes, it does make a difference!

I agree with Xeyad, the iPhone 5 box in black was amazing.

No. If you look carefully when he shows it, the slide to unlock is not capitalized like the leak. Maybe the leak was just a test card?

Nope, it's real. It's too similar to the leaked one, but too different from the 5s one.

Unless a mockup artist took a random guess that it would be all white, including the screen.

I'm going to avoid updating to iOS when and if it comes out today. Not only that but I will also not view this video on account of me not wanting to spoil this pent up surprise of my own unboxing!

Power plug not shocking

Am I the only one shocked by the new power plug?

Surely this unboxing was done in the U.K., because that's the type of power plug -- on the wall or, as they say there, the "mains" end -- most commonly in use in the U.K.

Easy... it's cheaper!

The box also doesn't have the name of the phone on it anymore.
They now can use one box for all their phones.

It's all about saving a few bucks. That is what Tim Cook is all about, always was... but now he's CEO.

What, and your US plugs with their tiny wobbly breakable blade key prongs and no earth never mind outlet switches, are so much more reassuring?! ;)

The only annoying "relic" aspect of the UK 3-pronger is how bulky it is when carrying it in a bag. Was hoping Apple would license or buy this very elegant solution...

The uk plugs can also function effectively as an anti theft device.
Leave it stratigically placed, prongs up, and any would-be robber isn't going to be running off with it anytime soon.
Lego has nothing on these bad boys. Apparently stepping on one at night is comparable to childbirth.

So sensual. I feel like I should light a candle and sprinkle rose petals at the door for the UPS driver.

Where do these people come up with the music for these videos? It's always so weird.

Barclaycard USA had the iPhone 6 box on their finance page once you would click special financing for the iPhone on the learn how to buy page on the day the iPhone came to the apple store that is one thing I noticed that the iPhone box was white with no logo

Not the first time that phone has been unboxed!!! No Mylar/plastic protective coverings!!! Disappointed!!! Wanted a virgin unboxing... Had my popcorn and soda all ready.... JS

It's interesting that the side of the box simply says 'iPhone' now and they've removed the generation label. Probably a subtle step towards removing generation numbering??
