so now we celebrate some spoiled kid spending parent money on an unnecessary gadget? Good lord how we've descended as a nation. That was worth recording and posting? I'm signing off for now in disgust.

Perhaps you should click the video link after the video posted...you will find out he makes his own money, not spend his parents money....he makes it reviewing products he buys, and eBay...

Do you think you could re-enact the experience? Spread the joy. Make an uplifting video about it.

No queues here in Singapore. At least not to the reseller I went to. People here will be happy to get one.

cause it's his fault his parents can provide a new ipad for him. What's more telling about our descent as a nation is that we're getting mad at people for being wealthy or simply having more money than us. I'm happy that the kid can afford to buy these products. My parents provided everything for me growing up, all the new videos games, computers, a car, etc. Now I'm providing for them.

Am I the only one who isn't the least bit excited about the iPad Air? I mean....it's thinner...

So what time should we expect online ordering to go live here in the good old US of A?

I do appreciate Apple employees cheering to show enthusiasm but it's a different story when the first person brags about how they are first. I mean, I'm getting mine next week. It's going to be the same exact thing as the first one!

I couldn't agree more. It'll function just like the ipad 1.

Who give's a ****? Wow he bought a product from a retail store... Did his mommy back him cookies too?

Product looks good but I think I'll wait a month or two and a see what doesn't work this time around (probably wifi or yellow tinted screen, that's the usual complaints with an Apple v1.0 release).

I find it pathetic really, it’s not like you are buying the Holy Grail.. and I said buying , you are buying a product… you are not getting it for free..

I can't even watch the first video, it makes me feel bad. I love Apple products but I don't really get this s..t.

Green envy aside, i do think trolls, trolling the trollers have become quite frequent on MR

This is so ridiculous, and the people who defend the boy in the video are ridiculous, too. I mean, all the employess in the store give you a huge clap that you were the first who bought their product. People are so carried away now-a-days. Come on, guys and gals, he just bought a piece of aluminum, he is the FIRST who bought the new piece of aluminum. Honestly, the sheer stupidity of the situation deserves the huge clap given by the employees. They surely admire his willingness to wait for hours in front of the store.

Heck, the whole sitiation reminds me of the not so distant past in my country when we used to wait for hours in front of the store to buy milk - we were going through a deep crisis. If you comare the lines back then with the lines shown in the video you will appreciate the ridiculousness of the video.

What makes it even more ridiculous is that I will be able to buy this very product next week without having to wait in lines for hours.

"Look, bro, I was the first who bought the iPad 1, iPad 2, iPad 3, iPad 4, iPad Air, iPad mini, iPhone 3 (and so on)"

Calm down..

I am the person who made these videos. I don't know what makes you all think you have the right to tell me not to wait in line. I enjoyed it, it was fun to have the attention and the new iPad is great. All products on my channel are 100% purchased with my money. So next time you call me "spoilt" or "crazy" think again.

Hey Ben,

I was at the Apple Store in George Street this morning as well (and made it into your video too).

I think it is a great video, and I enjoyed the morning as well.

Don't let other people tell you what you should or should not like.

Quality ain't what it used to be.

New space grey iPad I picked up this morning has significant pitting

Doesn't bother me or the person I bought it for as it is going to live in a case but I can imagine the OCD crowd here going mental over something like this in a 'premium' product.
