It's Wednesday, March 11 in Australia and New Zealand, which means it's the official launch day for all of the products Apple introduced last week, including the new low-cost MacBook Neo, the iPhone 17e, the M5 Pro and M5 Max MacBook Pro models, the Studio Display, the Studio Display XDR, the M4 iPad Air, and the M5 MacBook Air.

Apple fans who purchased one of the new devices will start receiving their orders in the next few hours, and will soon share photos and first impressions of the new MacBook Neo, iPhone 17e, and more on Reddit, the MacRumors forums, and other social networks.

If you've ordered one of the new products and it's been delivered, let us know your thoughts in the comments below and make sure to share some photos.

Since there are no Apple retail stores in New Zealand, customers in Australia are the first to be able to pick up their new device or make a purchase in an Apple Store. In-store stock in Australia will provide insight into what we can expect from other Apple locations worldwide, but we aren't expecting major shortages.

Some MacBook Neo models have delivery estimates that are a little over a week out, so that may be the most popular new product from this batch.

If you missed pre-ordering a MacBook Neo or one of Apple's other new devices, you should be able to visit an Apple retail location to pick one up on launch day. Other retailers like Target, Walmart, and Best Buy should also have stock, and carriers will have the iPhone 17e.

Following Australia and New Zealand, sales and deliveries of the MacBook Neo, new Studio Display models, iPhone 17e, and other products will begin in Asia, the Middle East, Europe, and finally, North America.

Make sure to stay tuned to MacRumors, because we'll have hands-on and unboxing videos starting tomorrow.

Couple thoughts

1) Money has yet to be grown on trees and people need more affordable options. When you don't have the money then what ever that item is , is too much money.
2)Many sites will note that it doesn't do this as fast or that as fast or the speed is slower then comparison models ; You don't need M5 to type essays , surf, listen to music and do little pictures and videos.
3) Typing this on a MacBook 5.1 from 2008 as we speak
4) For those reasons above it's good for some people - not all - and inevitably choice it good 🙂

With best wishes and positivity ......

Thanks for a more affordable solution, but the NEO just infuriates me because I bought a lightly used M1 iPad Pro, 16gb ram, 2tb SSD, and 5g for $750 AND APPLE WILL NOT LET ME RUN MACOS ON IT, but this lowly 8gb A18 Pro gets rave reviews across most of the Apple-verse. 🤬 Even with a Magic Keyboard it is no heavier than the NEO and outstrips it in every way.

To be fair, you can’t run iPadOS on the MBN.

I'm eager to know what happens when you plug a Studio Display XDR into a Mac running Sequoia. I heard it makes it 60hz only, but does HDR work? Do you still get all the color profiles? I can live without the higher refresh rates while I sit out the Tahoe mess and hope for an improvement with macOS 27, but no HDR in Sequoia would be a deal breaker.

I think an Apple Pay QR code pops up on screen and once you scan it they auto ship you a new Mac.

ok, I'm moving to New Zealand......too many animals that can kill you in Australia for my tastes.

I always thought fear of animals was a curious reason to avoid locations. I've heard that about Florida.
Also, severe weather as a deterrent; tornados, hurricanes.

Cold, rain, and heat, drought are more understandable. Or high crime rate. Fear of high prices?

So, Steve Jobs was wrong about the post-PC world?

Here is an import lesson: Hardware can't hold a candle to software.

Fortunately the Macs offer both excellent hardware and software as long as you pay for it and use it the way Apple wants you to.

The genius about the MacBook Neo is that they have taken away (or refrain from including) so much hardware and features that Apple can still make a huge profit and certain user groups will still be happy using it.

It's astonishing the more I think about it.

To everyone getting one of the new devices, enjoy them. Not planning to buy any of them but will visit an Apple store to see the new devices and the Neo in Citrus.
