So I took my case off my SG 8+ this evening to have the light hit just right to notice a little knick in the glass on the back. My assumption is a particle, sand or something, got between the case and glass and did it. Once you find that first piece of damage, do you typically go naked there on out or do you continue to use a case?

I took the case off of my old iPhone 6 recently and discovered quite a few scratches on the back so i was like f this. Havent noticed any further scratches, in fact i feel like the case was the culprit in the first place. Been using my iPhone 7+ naked from the start

I guess it depends. Some cases that are used on iPhones can also be the culprit for damage when dirt and debris gets trapped inside. And other times, using an iPhone caseless you take the risk of getting it damaged. So I guess there is no real definitive answer, it just depends what you want to use.

I had an otterbox that also left some scratches on the back of my old 7. I figured it was better than a shattered screen or a gouge.
