Hey guys, new member here even though i've been looking on this site for years!!!

Should be a straight forward one. Going to buy a mbp when 10.5 gets released and I was just wanting to see if this memory module is correct for upgrading the ram from 2gb to 4gb:

Kingston 2GB DDR2 667MHz Laptop Memory Sodimm Non ecc CL5 200 pin Unbuffered 1.8v - http://www.ebuyer.com/product/119498

think apple is taking the piss asking for £320 off their store or +£400 for them to install it when you order it!

also while i'm here, is it worth upgrading the laptop HD from 160gb 5400rpm to 160gb 7200rpm???

cheers guys x

Here is the kingston part numbers:

Part Number Description Price

KTA-MB667/1G 1GB
KTA-MB667/2G 2GB
KTA-MB667K2/4G 4GB Kit

Also, no question, get the 7200 rpm disk. makes a huge difference in the overall speed of the machine. Disk is the weakest link, so anything you can do to speed that up will help.
