With just over a month to go until the October 9 release of Danny Boyle's "Steve Jobs" bio-pic, Universal yesterday released the first official poster for the movie. A simplistic one-sheet, the poster showcases a profile of Michael Fassbender's Steve Jobs along with a brief list of the leading cast including Kate Winslet, Jeff Daniels, and Seth Rogen.

Over the summer, Universal began the movie's advertising campaign after a year front-loaded with image leaks from the set and massive casting calls. The first official trailer was released in early July, and the movie was even chosen as the Centerpiece film to play at the New York Film Festival beginning in late September.

Let's hope this is the last damn Steve Jobs movie. Movie producers should really stop leeching on the story of his life already to fill their pockets.

Safe to assume Jobs would be calling Universal right now about how they got it all wrong?

Not very grabbing poster, hopefully the latter ones are better.

Wake Me Up When September Ends..

I'm actually pleasantly surprised it carries an R rating. At least they can tell the story without having to censor or dial down to sell more tickets.

Agreed. Not sure how I'll like this movie (not huge on biography type movies)...but if I know going in that someone might attempt to Dr. Suess-ify one of Steve's tirades, I'd go in knowing I wouldn't like it.

Yeah, we shouldn't be able to have and see movies that might of interest. All these people earning a living making movies based on real events like wars, lives of people, natural events, etc. so that we can see them. Just horrible.

I like how they are directly referencing the design of the Isaacson book, but I don't like the layout at all. Also there are too many different point sizes.
