For a Phone, thats pretty impressive, the day I get it in my hands it will already be the best video recording device I have, I have a camera that does HD, but its not so good. Either way, I was planning to buy a FlipHD, but I might rethink that purchase now.

People are so lazy as to even check the homepage...

I have a deep link bookmarked to this forum and don't read the homepage. The OP found it on the 'Net and posted here. What's the difference if his link was to the homepage? He posted here to discuss. It's easy to move along if you don't agree with his method. The Moderators take good care of us.

Thanks.

I never read the front page - only the Iphone forum. Why didn't the team post it in the relevant forum not the news forum?

Sorry but I thought people who actually care about video quality here would want to see it.

That's all fine, but I did suggest that he do two things: check the homepage and/or search the forums for it. Neither of which is hard. We don't need multiple discussions for the same thing.

It's on the front page of macrumors. You might want to check there if not, at least search.

I don't dwell on things like this. Move along people.

Is Apple going to update the Apple TV software to allow 29.97fps HD video? I don't want to buy a new model just to play vids with a higher framerate.

Rhetorical question, btw. I know nobody knows except for the folks at Apple.

Which is exactly why if you follow that link above, it will take you to the official discussion here on the MacRumors Forums. :)

I guess my point is that doesn't everyone come to the Iphone forum for Iphone info?

I found the link on digg, after I visited this site about 20 times today and saw nothing about it.

Maybe if the announcement was put in the relevant forum we wouldn't have had this issue.

Keep in mind it's only mono. The Flip HD is stereo.

Meaning you were hoping for slow motion?

60 fps is not slow motion. It's 60 frames per second. What makes that slow motion?

Well, it's easy to make a guess. If the iPhone 4 plays 30 fps 720p (which is does) then it seems likely that a new Apple TV will soon gain the ability. I know that's not proof, but I think it's a good assumption.

It IS on the iPhone page. I just looked. It's still there.
