If in the US, why not get a new one from B&H or Adorama and be able to potentially save the sales tax?

I got an email from B&H and I believe they have to start charging out of state taxes now.

Wow, if that's true, then that will kill their online Apple sales unless they discount their Apple products drastically to compensate for paying sales tax. I think the reason most people buy from Adorama and B&H is to avoid paying sales tax, which could potentially be hundreds of dollars depending on the product purchased.

They do not charge sales tax still.

I guess it depends on what state you are in. It looks like No Tax is over for Michigan Residents.

Important Message Regarding Sales Tax
As you may know, based on a June 2018 U.S. Supreme Court ruling, Michigan is now requiring out of state sellers to collect sales tax. As a result, B&H will begin to collect sales tax on shipments to Michigan on October 16th. All reputable retailers are complying with the new laws and collecting sales tax.
