you read the article, right? ai chat agents and bots did not take “down” the site. Humans took it off line because the comments where mostlyAi agents/chatbot generated, so they could not “trust user engagement” metrics a.k.a. monetize said engagement.

TL;DR: no reason to be scared. to be annoyed, because it is possible that genuine human interaction becomes a minority, yes.
