First time mac notebook buyer, being a Programmer

I'm a programmer and I have an older 12" PowerBook with 32MB of VRAM and until recently I used it with screen spanning and 1280x1024 on the external display.

All Panther effects will work just fine, although Exposé isn't as smooth when 4 or more windows are open.

Hey gekko513, thats exactly the kind of response I was expecting to hear!
Right, so Expose does seems to take a performance hit.

FFTT omg! , that would be way out of my budget I already own a Shuttle XPC and I just wanted a Mac to work at home and since I got a desktop I prefer to go for a notebook, that is why Im looking at the iBook
