Hey lads :D

Getting my new iMac 24" on wednesday. :D

We've ordered vmware with it, and the xp disc, as we need to use xp sometimes.

I was just wondering, how (if) I would set up vmware and bootcamp so that I can use them together, with the same xp installation, so when I want to use heavy applications I can boot up in boot camp, and less intensive tasks I can just use vmware for. Is this possible, and if so, how?
Thanks!

1. Install Bootcamp & Windows XP

2. Install VMware Fusion. Fusion will recognize and offer to use Bootcamp partition as virtual machine.

I actually use this configuration myself with Bootcamp on a separate dedicated HD on a Mac Pro. I have never needed to use Bootcamp native mode, but I don't do anything with games and such...

You can also use Unity Mode where the Windows desktop is hidden with shortcut icons on your MacOS desktop or dock for Windows programs...
