A word to the wise. As long as you don't play in the library folder(s) without knowing what you're doing, and you don't try to change your short name (also without knowing what you're doing), Macs work great!

But if you do such things, they do become exciting learning experiences...

By George you've done it! Well let's put this thread back on track, shall we?

OS X is a great OS. It may take awhile to discover a few of the different paradigms, but nothing that can't be learned one at a time fairly easily.





But it does feel magical.
 
I made the switch nearly 2 years ago and haven't looked back. I actually sold my Dell laptop a few months after buying my MBP, after discovering Bootcamp.

It didn't take me long to learn OS X. The biggest learnings are how to close apps and how to install/uninstall apps etc. But you get used to it.

Remember CMD-Q to close apps.
