This is my first time buying a MacBook and I need some help.

What are the main specs I should be looking for in a MacBook, MacBook Pro, etc.??? Pros and cons?

I am familiar with specs but I don't know what models are best to look for? Like generations?

I am on a budget so most likely an older model would benefit me but if its better to invest an extra $100 or so into a newer model, please let me know!

Any information on MacBook would help me out lots!!! ;)

    Thanks

    What is your budget?
    What are your needs?
What size screen do you want?
How long are you planning on keeping your computer?

If you are on a budget, get a refurbished model.

I think one of the key factors is deciding what size you want, your needs and how much you have to spend?

    Best regards

Or even if you're not! If the computer you want has new and refurb, always go the later!

...if apple would ship directly to military addy's, I'd have gotten refurbs... although I did get good deals on my NIB mac's...

+1. Apple does a stellar job with their refurbs - do a mroogle search and you'll find a ton of refurb fans.
