First time to use Transmit...problem

Okay, I highlighted what I wanted to transfer to server and dragged and dropped. Told it to replace files because that's what I wanted it to do. However, now some files that were not in the ones being transferred are gone. I did NOT tell it to synchronize...so why did it delete files from the server?

Never mind...figured it out, but I wish I'd known that you had to tell it to MERGE folders to keep from overwriting stuff. I've used countless Windows FTP clients and never seen this before.

Oh, well, here's hoping the client had a backup...live and learn, I guess.
