It is too heavy and too expensive.
If you are not giving the keyboard a good use...don't buy it.

It is more, I will say that if you need the keyboard a lot, buy a Mac Book pro

I've been using this keyboard (black version) for a year now and absolutely love it.

The MacBook Pro is an awesome computer. But its not an iPad (which I prefer for my primary computer).

I am glad you do not have any financial role in my company if you laugh at calculating the total cost of an item.

Then you didn't understand why I laughed. The issue is when people quote price on a forum they tend to neglect to mention which country they are from and if they are including taxes. It's misleading to members here and gives a false impression of what Apple is charging. The price was said to be $500 for the new keyboard. In the U.S its $349. That $500 price was not accompanied by which country it was quoted from nor did they say it was including tax. For people scrolling through the forum posts that $500 price would scare them away but it's the fault of the forum member who posted that and withholding the details.

I hope you're well aware of how MR works here. People instantly have knee-jerk reactions based on one-liners from other members here, especially when it's against Apple.

For the record, I'm a 20 year fully licensed registered insurance rep. All I do are finances. 401k Rollovers, IRA's and Fixed Annuities. I know the financial world perhaps better than many that post here. 😊

Yeah, 449 CAD, plus tax brings it to $507 for me.

Just FYI it’s CAD$ 399 for me right now when buying it together with an ipad pro 11”

Hmmm. Perhaps it costs more for the 12.9”? Lemme go check, lol. Ah heck yep it’s $449 for the 12.9”.

Soooo….. total price jumps to CAD $2048 + taxes for a basic model with cell vs CAD $1598. Yikes, That’s not insignificant for a better screen, specially when 50% of the time I need to hold a tablet in my hands and thus the larger one will be more uncomfortable in those situations. Oh well. just reinforces my first instinct to go 11”

as for it getting dirty? That’s what washing hands before using electronics is for, lol. MY WHITE keyboard at the office remains pure white after 2 1/2 years of use. Of course I know people who ruined theirs after a few months so … might as well buy it ‘dirt colour’ as opposed to ‘elegant white’ to begin with if you're one of those ppl I guess 😁

The individual clearly said it was CAD $507 AND clearly stated the price before and after taxes. It’s not his fault if people are completely ignorant. That’s Canadian dollars which would lead one to believe he is from Canada.

I guess you missed this part where he DIDN'T say CAD in the first place. That's why I called him out for it and he clarified it in a later post that YOU only saw. Point your finger in the correct direction when using the word ignorant. 🙄
