During the IUP approval I clicked Space Grey, but I really wanted the silver. I know... first world problems. Tried to change last night during ordering, but that only allowed for in store pickup which unfortunately my work wouldn't allow me the time to leave and pickup.

Wish there was a way to switch, but... that is a big first world problem I suppose.

I hear you!

I opened my safe this afternoon, and there’s no more room to squeeze in the giant wad of cash I just found on the street. Either I move my gold bars and store them somewhere else, or I’m going to have to buy a new safe.

Ugh!

I figured that was only me. Glad there’s more people out there with the same problems.

You would have to take the space gray version and exchange it for the silver, but obviously with the constraint and demand, that's likely not going to be an option.

Ugh tell me about it. My gold bars are so heavy it felt like my arms were about to fall off. I actually ended up just leaving three of them in the street because I couldn't carry them.

I hate that phrase "first world problems." Everyone's problems are just that - their problems. As long as you acknowledge you have it better than many people and do what you can, there's no reason to feel guilty about enjoying the benefits of your hard work and the society you live in.

That being said, I BELIEVE you can g into the Apple store and finagle a swap, or barring that find someone who has a silver and wants a gray and do a direct swap.

I got silver and i have the ZAGG type body protector on order so everyone can see my phone and be jealous. LOL

Cheer up, you may end up liking the space grey more than the silver. :) Lots of people were torn choosing between the two as both look fabulous.

Does it really matter? The phone is black on the front on both units, and you'll most likely be putting a case on it, which will obscure the colour. Also, who looks at the back of the phone anyway? Color shouldn't matter much

To the OP, maybe you could 1) exchange the device for one you prefer within the return period, and 2) amend the spelling on your thread title.

Re "First World Problems", it is a matter of perspective, and a recognition that, in the wider scheme of things, not all problems seem the same.

For what it is worth, I have worked in three continents and in some of the most dysfunctional places on the planet. One of the consequences of that is that I find the stuff people get exceedingly exercised about in my corner of the First World very hard to take seriously, and so, yes, they do fall under the heading of "First World Problems".

Anyway, it is an expression I use myself, invariably in an irked or impatient tone (a tone sometimes addressed at myself).

Wow! By chance, I was out for an evening stroll and FOUND three bars of gold in the middle of the street. Had to toss out a couple of bars of silver from my vault to make room for two of the gold bars. Used the third to buy a truck load of Xs. Unfortuntely, they are all the wrong color AND size.

I know really. You think your problems are bad, well my garage is only big enough to hold my jaguar and my maserati, I have to park my mercedes on the driveway!!! Then when I want to drive the jag, I have to move the mercedes in order to get the jag out of the garage!!!

There's not. Put a white case on it.

It doesn't matter no. Haha. This was more of a joke post than anything though I do really wish I would have been paying attention. But as many have pointed out, it's like someone complaining about their gold bars or jaguars or whatever.

I go caseless though. Have since the first phone and have had every iPhone model with the exception of 2 or 3 models. I care about color much like anything else I'd buy, and I usually have the screen facing down when it's sitting somewhere.

I never read the phrase "first world problems" more than right here on Macrumors. It's almost as if people are deflecting their own materialism by trying to accuse someone else.

If you wanna wait 5-6 weeks.
Surely waiting a few weeks to get the phone you actually want is a no brainer? You’ll have the phone for a year or possibly years. Why be stuck with the one you didn’t want instead of waiting a few weeks.
