Howdy!

I always was curious how others do/manage their Mac after a fresh installation of macOS, so in this thread lets discuss this and even better let's post properly what you do after a fresh installation of Windows 10, what apps do you install, what settings you change for your needs, and also how you maintain your system well.

It doesn't matter if you use macOS on a desktop or notebook, just tell us what you do and what you install to make your life easier.

This is what I do!

Usually, I don't do much tweaking. However, first things that I do from the start:
- move Dock (or Taskbar if it's Windows) to the left; remove all Apple/Windows crap from there;
- adjust Trackpad (speed, direction, etc);
- install Chrome (for work) and Opera (for other activities);
- that's it on a Mac :) Don't really need anything else.
- but it we take Windows, there's a whole lot more: removing/disabling as many MS apps/services as possible; adjusting update settings; battling with annoying Windows Defender; installing Deamon tools, 7-Zip, K-Lite codecs, paint.net, Adobe Reader, TeamViewer, etc. As you can tell, I'm more into PCs than Macs.

Maintenance? Never heard of it :)

Yeah, sometimes even the mac needs some maintenance, these 2 apps are very good on that.

Just for your information, every computer needs maintenance, not so much like Windows, but needs at least one time at 3-4 weeks.
