Hi All, I am new to the AW (arrived today) and I am slightly confused as to how the various fitness apps can/do work with one another.
Before the AW I was using MapMyFitness to record all of my workouts. Because of the long history I have on that database, I would like to carrying on recording my workout to the same platform.
However, as far as I can see, the Apple's own workout app does everything I need and in many way better that MapMyFitness so I wouldn't want to lose this.

So, what is the best way to carrying on using the Apple Workout app but also record/export the workouts to MapMyFitness?
I have seen someone mentioning an app called RunGap. Is this a viable option?
What alternatives do I have?

Thanks for the help

There is a MapMyFitness app for the watch that will update the Apple Health info for the rings. I also have many years of data with MayMyRide so I still use that app instead of Apple's Outdoor Cylcling.

Thanks.
If i record a workout using the MMF app, apart from updating the rings, will the workout data also be stored normally on the watch in the Activity App, as if I had used the Apple App to record it?
I guess I could easily test this but it would save me some hassle if you already know the answer. Thanks.

It will give you the credit in the activity app. It will show that the data came from MapMyFitness and update your data for MapMyFitness too.
