Okay... your house is on fire. All the people and pets are out safe. You can run back in and save five things. A water hose does not count :D

1) The folder of drawings and handmade gifts that my kids have given me

2) small teddy bear I had as an infant.

3) my college ring (I never wear it, so it would have to be saved)

4) G.I. Joe I had as a kid in the early 1970s

5) my grandfather's hat

honorable mentions (with me, there are always honorable mentions) :p

tool collection from back when I worked as a mechanic (probably the only replaceable things I would consider saving)

my Russian watch

The Hawaiian shirt I wore on the first date I had with my wife

DS Lite

PSP

xBox 360

Wii

External Hard drive because it has my music/video on it
(I'm only look at material thing here....personal object are to)

Fire changes it...because I'd be looking for things I care about...hmm idk

1. My digital camera (and charger).

2. My external hard drive, with all my pictures + music backed up on it (haha, it's not Apple!)

3. My wallet ;)

4. My Nalgene water bottle that has been everywhere with me...and I mean everywhere.

5. Like the OP's #2, an old stuffed animal (a bear) from my childhood.

My iBook would be #1 if the list included Apple products...and I could actually care less about my iPod, since it's easily replaceable...

1. My Slr (nikon D80) :D
2. My Watch (cK)
3. Cell Phone (motorola)
4. Daily Planner (cant do anything without it)
5. Random books collection (priceless)

In no particular order:
1-Digital camera
2-Printer
3-Laptop from work
4-Financial documents
5-Digital data storage media

in no order

1. cellphone
2. my car
3. does stock count?
4. tickets to hockey games (rangers and B's)
5. ?

1. My chinchilla
2. My guinea pig

Neither of my pets are more important than the other, so I just put them in the same order I got them. Also, they can't run out on their own, so I am assuming they don't fit in the OPs rules ;)

3. Oliver Otter (this HUGE stuffed otter my fiance bought me)
4. MacBook Air - I am a CS student so this is my life, even if it is an Apple product :p
5. External hard drive with all my photos on it.

1) My Land Rover
2) My Blanket (no lie)
3) A picture of my dog and I at the beach
4) My Western Digital My Book HD with all my files backed up
5) My box of elementary school work*

*I remember my 2nd grade teacher telling us how when we were big kids in high school it would be fun to look back on our childhood work. We'll a couple days a go I pulled out this giant box in my basement with my elementary school work. I found my Kindergarten letter to Santa asking for a living pet platypus, a power wheels, a real elf to have as a friend, and some other toys.

Remember when the days were just so much simpler...

1) My Land Rover

Down the road from where my dad used to live this guy had a hydraulic jack in his garage and when ever he had it all the way up you could see it in the upstairs windows. :) It was a Camel Trophy edition Discovery.

I thought of this when I read your post because I thought it was interesting that you apparently keep your Land Rover in your house :)

VVV AHA! Another one who keeps their car in their house! ;) Darn you people and your fancy shmancy garages.

1. My beloved Toyota
2. That crappy LG phone I can't live without...
3. My slow, but useful Compaq laptop
4. Lava lamp?
5. Hairbrush?

I don't know, i'm running out of stuff. The first three are very important, especially the Toyota. Love her to death.

1. My blankets from when I was a baby. (I still sleep with them, they're so soft.)
2. My stuffed bears. I got them later, and no I don't sleep with them, but they sure look nice.
3. My mom's SLR. Yeah it's not mine because I can't afford one but I get nice pictures out of it.

my massive PCWorld, APC, PCAuthourity and MacWorld collection of magazines

2. Wallet
3. Back-up drive
4. My favorite jacket (it's irreplaceable)
