You forgot to factor in the cost of the 2TB of backup storage x 2.

Ya backup solutions get expensive as soon as you get to the cloud (.005/gb for B2 or $6/mo unlimited for consumer plans). A small local NAS with 2-4tb could be quite cheap though and last a long time.

Ya I'm debating the most cost effective way to do this.

There are some unlimited cheaper consumer plans in the $6-7/mo range, or 1-2tb type plans like Arq Premium, etc.

You can roll your own solution with B2 or Wasabi at around .005/gb/mo, or look at even slower glacier storage if you don't need to access it much.

A cheap NAS with 4tb could also last a rather long time.

Sure but the earlier posted was complaining about not have enough local storage. I assumed that they had gotten a base model computer and not put the money into extra storage. Having a local NAS is a little out there some someone like that. A simple cloud backup is less upfront cost.
