@Matthew Riley MacPherson

I just purchased Mic Drop as I have been looking for something lightweight to accomplish this exact task (and I am more than willing to help support developers who make a good product).

I would love one additional (advanced) feature (and would gladly paypal some beer money if you make this happen). Separate keyboard shortcuts for muting the mic and unmuting the mic. For my specific usecase, this would allow for better scripting with my stream deck!

Weather Mini could easily be replaced by iStatsMenu which can feature weather in the system tray. has 4 sources, and also does a host of other things as well.. for basically the same price

Thank you! 🙏🏻

We've been trying to keep the preference window simple (I already think it's getting too big 😅), but this is a request I've got a few times and I think it makes sense for users who want to script Mic Drop. I've started to implement some more "advanced" features behind hidden preferences, so if we eventually have an "Advanced" mode, I think a feature like that would be a good fit.

No ETA on that, but I've put it on our feature request board. 🙂

And I am serious about the beer money! Send PayPal and I will do my part. ;)

Thanks for the response and keep up the good work.

KeyPad - Bluetooth Keyboard, use your Mac as a keyboard for your Phone, Tablet and TV over bluetooth.

Not to mention, Mac is an UNIX system, on/off mic toggle and most of these super simple tasks can be done with Automator action bound to a keyboard shortcut maybe in 10 minutes. Still, someone's 10 minutes might be worth more than a few bucks.

I'm a developer too. So I could write my own version if I had enough interest. I don't. I initially thought the same thing. $7 for a mute switch I could do myself? I don't think so. Then I watched a coworker today sending us private messages in Slack while he was sharing his screen. Now I'm thinking $7 isn't that much at all to avoid the embarrassment of saying something when I think I'm muted. A system wide push-to-talk button? Sold!
