Sorry makers of Tab Space, but Safri has the functionality described built in. Bookmarks --> Add Bookmarks for These X Tabs. Then add the newly created bookmark two the favourites bar and voila!
Actually, Tab Space seems more like the "One Tab" extension for Chrome, which I've been missing on Safari. Safari doesn't have exactly this built in, it has something related, with a few manual steps to reach a similar result.

Fenêtre is available on the Mac App Store (there's also a free lite version). I haven't needed it myself, but it could be worth checking out.

Never mind; I misread the description. I doubt it's what you want, after all.

well, to be honest it does the job, kinda. I can open figma link (designs), what I'm still missing is to keep open iOS simulators on top. But this is still good improvements!:D Thanks bro!

And they charge a monthly/yearly subscription beyond the free tier. I sure miss being able to buy apps outright with no subscription or data-mining BS.
I don’t subscribe. Only buy paid apps.

Like DEVONthink. And a Fujitsu ScanSnap scanner. Road to a paper free life.

I have the paid and not subscribe 1Password and have for years.

Carbon Copy Cloner.
OmniFocus.
Bartender.

I like Tot, which is a simple way to collect bits of text: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/tot/id1491071483?mt=12

Handy for developers who are juggling a lot of chunks of code, writers who are collecting references and sources for a story, etc. Just a neat, organized way to throw text into seven little preset bins that are color coded and it also supports markdown.

It's also just $19.99 for the iOS app outright (no subscriptions, IAP). :D If you even want/need it. Stopped me from throwing it all in Soulver.

Looking for an application to do virtual desktops better than mission control. I’m wanting to be able to name desktops among other things. Anything out there?

SSavr does the same thing, except no download. And it's in your wifi network only.

  • Slash (Free) - Slash is

Slash isbn't free. It's about $40/yr if you look at their pricing. It's a free 50 item sample. I could use that up in a week. I resent the bait and switch by MR. It was the first of the five apps that interested me and attracted me to investigate further. After that, I had no interest in looking at the others and being duped again.

Love Tot, I'm constantly grabbing little snippets of code, or value to use for testing, or some out I want to decipher - I love it just float on top of everything, auto saves, supports Markdown. Great recommendation.

I don't see an option for it's window to float on top (always on top) of other windows.

Not quite the same thing. I use SessionRestore For Safari instead of Tab Space

Beer to anyone who will gives me app that will allow me keep window in top ALL the time. Can't find anything that works on Catalina.. :D

I've searched for this for a long time but no such thing exists on OSX. The closest is to this app that keeps screenshots always on top : https://eternalstorms.at/ScreenFloa...s_fly/ScreenFloat_-_Make_your_Shots_fly!.html

But you can't change an existing app to always be on top.

Boring and useless... These days developers are making apps just for the sake of doing it and hoping it will become popular... all this income driven bull crap.

I don't understand Tab Space. Safari already does all of this anyway. Why pay a buck?

InstaRemind looks useful. Its only hangup is third-party calendar apps. The speed at which those apps update based upon what is in Apple Calendar is a minor obstacle. But since Apple crippled BusyCal and especially BusyContacts I've been back on Apple Calendar.

And I still hate subscriptions. I'm tired of being nickeled and dimed. That money adds up.

Frankly, the best apps are Terminal, shell-of-choice, editor-of-choice, language-of-choice. Using those I can develop 90% of the tools I need. Caveat – I live on the command line, so YMMV.
Agreed, but you only listed 4 - arguably browser-of-choice would be the fifth. To me the Mac is the best Unix workstation ever (Unix, with all utilities and APIs that entails and a fully fleshed-out GUI - which Linux never quite manages - and the ability to run popular commercial software if one so chooses).

But, the topic was Mac apps worth checking out, not necessarily the best apps.

(Terminal, bash, Vim - MacVim FTW - and Python & C, for me... I ought to learn Swift too)

If you haven't checked out Tuck by Irradiated Software, by all means give it a look. I find it indispensable -- wasn't sure I'd like it after watching their video, but it's got a free demo, and a single-time payment (no subscription nonsense, yay!)

That's a great idea for a good April Fool's post next month: "five totally worthless apps..." either real crap actually in the store, or lets see some very clever jokes.

Many times, these posts can carry that title. I find very few useful apps via these posts.

I agree.... is there any way to put into these "Best Apps!" articles what the free ones are mining from you in order to be free?

Yes... but MacRumors doesn't bother... just put 'em out there and hide behind plausible deniability.

Thank you for this comment, I had no idea Safari had that capability and it's just what I need! 🥰
