The grey OS X installer discs are machine specific.why not will it not be compatible.
Your machine will more then likely kernel panic if you're able to installer successfully.yes i know but what will ghappen if i do do it. will my macbook not work at all
or will some things just not work correctly.
Do you have a firewire cable?darn and there probably is no way to get around it unless i buy macbook restore cd man i have some school pappers to write tonight and i really need my macbook.
I suggest booting the MacBook into FireWire Target Disk Mode and then using Super Duper to clone over the operating system and files over to it from the Mac mini.
You don't need to boot into the OS. Target Disk Mode is hardware level.sorry forgot to mention my macbook is to the point where it wont boot into the os.
Cloning from the Mac mini to the MacBook will fix it.ok i do have a backup of my files but i just wanted to see if i could fix my macbook without buying cds
