I split some fizzy juice over my macbook pro. It still works however, the spacebar is sticky and hard to press. Is there anyway I can fix this myself? If I were to take it to the apple store how much would it roughly cost to fix?

Thanks!

Take the spacebar off and try getting a cotton bud with some alcohol based cleaning fluid on it and see if that helps.

fizzy juice sounds like a street drug. Cyanide and Coke?

anywho i'd disassemble the box (using ifixit's instructions) then grab some 99.9% alcohol and go to work. The link above also works.

How do I go about taking off the spacebar?

Ah, sorry, I have memories of taking keys off PowerBooks, and that seemed quite easy, but these new MBs and MBPs have a plastic see-saw arrangement which is hard to take off without damaging. 🙁
