Flash Ads

Do you think flash should be used for ads?

The only program running is safari and the only window open is the post thread window. My CPU usage is 100%. The culprit: the flash ads on this site. I would never use flash ads on my site because I hate flash so much. What do I do to keep CPU usage down due to flash? I block all flash ads. If the ad is flash it does not get displayed therefor I cannot click on it and bring money into this site.

I disabled the flash ad blocker for this post just to show CPU usage

Is this thread perhaps your motivation for this poll? You wouldn't use a flash ad ... no need to validate your choice by loading people up on the bandwagon. 😉
 
Actually I browse with plug-ins disabled, so I wouldn't see Flash ads at all.

What I'd like to disable is animated GIFs. I wish Safari had a built-in checkbox for that.
