Just wondering if my CPU usuage with flash is normal, so I know flash normal uses a lot of CPU. The thing is thought this is kinda stupid, the chrome flash process in task manager jumps up from around 2.5% CPU when not using flash to around 250% CPU when playing a flash online game.

The Idle on the computer also goes from around 90% Idle CPU without game, to around 12% Idle with a game.

Is this normal? Or way too much?

That's weird. Flash seems to have been much improved lately to the point of not noticing it running with Safari. Then again, I don't play Flash games - just YouTube and Hulu.

Looking at your screenshot, I assume you have a Retina 15"? It should be running Flash faster than my 2011 model, at least for online video.

It's normal, when i watch a highly compressed flash video, i have cpu usage of 110 % on rMBP (85% idle).
