I'm new to the Final Cut world of editing and in the next few months I will be re-designing my wife's business site and have a few questions.

1) Does FCE save or render a file in flash format? I assume it does but as little as I've played with it, I only found the quicktime format.

2) Assuming that FCE does NOT save in the native flash format, would iMovie do it?

Basically what I've got in mind is creating a sort of flash slideshow of her products on a portal of the site and elsewhere.

3) Would Photoshop Elements 4.0 do it as well?

I have RapidWeaver for building the site and also Dreamweaver on the pc for the site but needed to know about making the flash slideshow. What would you recommend?

Thanks,
PG

That's what I'm asking.....

May I assume then from your answer then that FCE will not save video in .flv or Flash?

What about iMovie?

In other words, what I'm asking is how best to go about making a flash slideshow on my MacBook Pro?

PG

No, FCE and iMovie will not export to flash. You'll need a separate Flash encoder like Sorenson ...
