Hope this is in the correct forum

Flash was working fine until I recently upgraded to 10.1. Now on many pages (ie: ESPN) the system hangs and I get an error message that "the Flash plug in disconnected".

I have uninstalled Flash numerous times and repaired permissions and restarted, but the same problem. I want to go back to an earlier verison Ie: 9 but it forces me to install 10.1

Any ideas to go back to a safer version?

Safari 5.0.2
10.6.4 Mac OS

Have you used the Flash Uninstaller to uninstall it? You can get it here:

Adobe.com: I want to uninstall Flash Player | Mac OS X 10.4 - 10.6 (Snow Leopard)

Because of security issues I don't think it's a very good idea to go back to an older version, but I believe you can get Flash Player 9 here:

Adobe.com: Flash Player 9 for older operating systems
It seems to work. I have tried various methods of uninstalling and reinstalling over the last 2 days. None of them would allow me to install 9.0. This method allowed me to install 9.0 then forced me to install 10.0. We'll see if the fix holds up. Thank you.
