I have a macbook pro running 10.6.3 and out of nowhere I have been having issues with flash in both safari and firefox. The places i specifically have problems are with flash based games like facebook's farmtown and on espn.com's front page poll questions.

I've tried uninstalling flash10 and reloading it as well as uninstalling it and installing flash9 trying to work around the problem, but none of this has helped my problem!! If anyone can shed some light on my problem i would love to hear it!!

as you can see in the 1st pic lettering in the espn poll doesnt show up, the physical poll is still clickable but you don't know what your voting on.

in the 2nd and 3rd pic you can see that when prompts pop in the game I am unable to view the text within and underneath the character instead of a name all you see is a blank white box.

I don't know how this happened or how to go about fixing it beyond what i've already done.

    thanks in advance.

    nobody has any ideas?

i'm not sure if its an adobe issue or an apple issue, if it were an apple issue i would just use their product support to get it running. however, if its adobe they don't really offer personal product support for free software.

You can try the release candidate of the flash v10.1 (RC2). Read the material at http://labs.adobe.com/technologies/flashplayer10/

Do the uninstall first (after quitting all web browsers), then do the install of the 10.1RC2 (after quitting all web browsers). You can get the uninstallers and installers at http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/flashplayer10.html

The Adobe flash test page is at http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/welcome/ (second on the list).

Good luck! [Upgrade again when 10.1 is released.]

[If you have a lot of animated 'beings,' flash will probably still give problems or run slow (e.g., create a shed of whatever and put your farm animals in it). Search the web for making farmtown faster.]
