there are a few websites and apps that will "steal" youtube videos and convert them for download. i recently recieved a link to a slideshow someone made for me and its sentimental, id like 2 keep it. so my question is:

are there similar online converters or an app that will dload/convert a flash slideshow, (specifically rockyou.com) like the ones that do it with youtube etc?

For YouTube videos, you can download an app called TubeTV. I'm not sure if this app will work with the videos you're talking about, though.

im not sure but if the slideshow is a Flash video i.e. .flv file you can try using Safari. to do this select Activity from Safari's Window menu and try to find the slideshow in the list and then double click on the .flv file it to download it.

to make it easier to find collapse all of the other websites (if you have multiple tabs open) and try and look for the sildeshow which would be the biggest file.

then to play it either download and install Perian which adds codecs to QuickTime or use VLC.

as an update what i did was download snapz pro and then payed the file flash file and let it record the box i drew around the flash slideshow and turned on the capture audio feature. neat little app
