My daughter is a high-level employee of an Apple retail store and has attended more than a few employee meetings regarding the iPad introduction. The basic party line from Apple (I think we may already know this) is consumers will like HTML5 more, Flash is buggy, and we don't really need Flash. The absence of Flash is the reason I'm not buying an iPad. I could have gotten one a day early at a deep discount. I'm a long time user of Apple products (since 1985). This attitude of Jobs that he knows better (sealed battery on the iPhone, no Flash) makes no business sense to me.
