Who knows?

Not sure I care, to tell the truth, but until Apple and Adobe find a compromise that suits both, nobody is going to be able to tell you yes or no...

I have never had a phone that was Adobe Flash capable out of the box. Even the numerous Windows Mobile phones, including the Tilt, that I have owned weren't. You could jump through hoops to get "Flash Lite," but I never fully understood what it even did as I still couldn't watch YouTube natively.

That said, I really don't see the big deal. Maybe somebody can clarify it for me though.

For Flash

Does anyone know if the iphone were to get flash if it would be a hardware update or a software update?

It would be software.

Adobe have said they want to do it, but they won't be allowed under the terms or functionality of the SDK. So we'll have to see if Apple let them.
